For New BMW 1, 3, 5 and 6 Series

BMW/MINI vehicles have several different types of screens in their cars, but they all share the same navigation computer. We provide 4 types of interface choices for all your BMW/Mini needs.

1) Your first choice and least expensive choice is our universal mod. This involves cutting 3 wires at the navigation unit or behind the LCD screen. ***Not for the 2004-up BMW 5 (E60) and 6 series (E63, E64) these units are plug and play ONLY***

2) Your 2nd choice and a little more expensive and uses our factory OEM BMW/Mini connectors, which makes the unit 100% plug and play. Plug and play solutions are available for all BMW/Mini vehicles, part number BMW-1, EXCEPT for BMW 5,6 and 7 series see below.

3) For your 2004-up BMW 7 series you can use our universal module (cut 3 wires) or our plug and play unit part number BMW-7.

4) The 2004-up BMW 1, 3, 5, (E60) and 6 series(E63, E64) come in plug and play only and use a new digital RGB unit. The BMW 1, 3, 5 and 6 series part number is BMW356.

You will need an additional DVD player, back-up camera or PS2/XBOX to display your video on your screen. Sound is processed thru wired or wireless fm modulator. Auxiliary sound input interface may also be available depending on the make and model of your car.

The BMW356 TVandNAV2GO module is the easiest way to interface a video source such as a DVD player, TV tuner, iPod Video, reverse backup video camera, video game console, PC, aftermarket satellite navigation system or any other AV source directly to your OEM GPS Navigation LCD screen display in the BMW 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, or 2007 and higher X5.

The TVandNAV2GO BMW356 is an easy to install, plug and play video module that will allow you to add any NTSC / PAL composite or RGB video source to your OEM GPS navigation LCD display screen. Our module works as long as you have the factory screen installed in your vehicle, regardless as to whether or not you have the nav option. The TVandNAV2GO BMW356 features three video inputs, and a separate camera input which can be activated automatically when shifting the vehicle into reverse.

The TVandNAV2GO BMW356 is an externally wired plug-and-play interface that is installed inline with your vehicle's LCD screen; it works simply by interrupting the video signal and inserting the image from the attached source whenever you activate the "Mode" button that is provided. When your normal video is displayed simply turn on your external video source and activate the input via the Mode button (or the Menu button on the iDrive, when the optional CAN connection is made) and the normal video image is replaced by your video source, once you turn it back off, the normal image is displayed once again.

Vehicle Specific Installation Information: The TVandNAV2GO BMW356 module is very easy to install. The TVandNAV2GO BMW356 comes complete with a full installation guide, required cables, and Mode button. The TVandNAV2GO BMW356 is a video only interface, which means an FM modulator, FM transmitter or CD changer audio input interface adapter needs to be used to connect the audio signal from your external source to your audio system.

The TVandNAV2GO BMW356 is video-in-motion enabled, so the video image will stay on the screen even with the car in motion! This unit will work in vehicles with or without the factory GPS navigation option installed, but REQUIRES the factory LCD display to be present regardless.
