MERCEDES BENZ have 5 different units, we have audio/video interfaces for all your navigations units. These are plug and play units that plug in the back of the navigation screen.
1) The COMAND 2.0 is used in all Mercedes from 2000-2004 in C-Class, CLK-Class, E-Class, G-Wagon W463, and SL-Class R230 Mercedes Vehicles. These cars use HARNESS MB-2.0

2) The COMAND APS 220 is only used in year 2003 S class only. These cars use HARNESS MB-2.0

3) The COMAND 2.5 is only used in S class and CL class 2000-2002. These cars use HARNESS MB-2.5.

4) Mercedes ML navigation is used in vehicles year 1999-2005. There is No plug and play solution for these cars.This requires the unit to be sent to our headquarters to add video interface. We offer 24 turnaround on all radio mods.

5) We now also carry a video solution for all 2004-2005 Mercedes Benz E class (W211) and S class (W220) cars. This unit has 2 video inputs 1 for DVD and 1 for backup camera. The unit auto switches to backup camera when you put the car in reverse.

All of the above screens have blank button, which are TV buttons in Germany, you can see pictures below with TV written on the blank button, you have to come to us or send us the screen to activate TV button and activate while in motion function. If you have German command with TV button activated you still have to come to us or send us the unit to activate while in motion function.

You will need an additional DVD player, back-up camera or PS2/XBOX to display your video on your screen. Sound is processed thru the radio except for the 2004-present E class and S class which requires a wired or wireless FM modulator for the sound.

The TVandNAV2Go Mercedes Benz RGB NavVideo interface module is an easy to install, plug and play video module that will allow you to add any composite or RGB video source to your OEM GPS navigation LCD display screen. Our module works as long as you have the factory screen installed in your vehicle, regardless as to whether or not you have the nav option. The TVandNAV2Go Mercedes Benz RGB NavVideo interface module features dual composite video inputs and one RGB input.

The TVandNAV2Go Mercedes Benz RGB NavVideo interface module is two piece system which consists of an externally wired plug-and-play RGB module and an internal RGB circuit board which is installed within the OEM navigation head unit; it works simply by interrupting the RGB video signal from your GPS computer whenever you select the "Input" button on the IR remote that is provided. When your GPS is displayed simply turn on your external video source and activate the input on the remote control and the GPS video image is replaced by your video source, once you turn it back off, the GPS image is displayed once again.

Vehicle Specific Installation Information:

The TVandNAV2Go Mercedes Benz RGB NavVideo interface module is a two piece system that allows you to connect up to two video composite video inputs to your Mercedes Benz original OEM GPS navigation system LCD display. The two piece system consists of an external RGB converter box and an RGB circuit board which is installed inside the car's LCD nav head unit. The external RGB box accepts an NTSC composite video input well as an RGB video input then converts them to a standard analog RGB signal, this is then connected to the other piece of the system, which is the internal circuit board installed inside of the radio. This internal board converts the analog RGB signal to TTL digital RGB that the LCD screen can then display.

The first step in the installation is to remove the head unit from the car, and open it up to expose its internal circuitry. The small RGB circuit board is then installed into the radio along with the provided ribbon cable. A small wire is then run from the internal RGB circuit board, to the external RGB converter module which is located outside of the radio. Please note that due to the complexity of this interface installation we recommend that installation be performed by a knowledgeable car electronics professional.

The TVandNAV2Go Mercedes Benz RGB NavVideo interface module is a video input only solution, thus an FM modulator or other auxiliary audio input interface is required to bring audio into the sound system.

The TVandNAV2Go Mercedes Benz RGB NavVideo interface module is video-in-motion enabled, so the video image will stay on the screen even with the car in motion! This unit will work in vehicles with or without the factory GPS navigation option installed, but REQUIRES the factory LCD display to be present regardless.
